It has already been two years since the release of Persona 5 – one has to wonder at the last minute, were the release dates moved forward at all? It’s not hard to guess if you’ve seen a lot of these screenshots that were recently posted to Twitter, but I figured it was a good thing to take a look at the game as it stands now to better see what the final releases will look like.
Before I go, let me explain what I mean when I say “final releases.” I’d like to say that it’s only a few months off when it comes to the game, but the current state of development is already starting to resemble the visual style seen in Persona 4.
While the game isn’t being developed on the current “PS Vita version” – which seems very possible – it looks like it will continue to use that on par with the console versions. This is great for those looking forward to seeing the game in 3D and playing Persona 5 on PS4 and Vita. As a person who hasn’t played it in this form before, I was a bit worried at first, as that seems to be a major departure from the visual style of other games in the series.
Now – I’m okay with not loving it in the 3D, as you’ll see. I wouldn’t necessarily be okay with not loving it in 2D even though Persona 5’s visual style is quite different. There’s also the fact that it makes use of the 3D model much better than the 1D version, so while there’s still some flaws, I think it’s still more enjoyable than the more traditional 1D style of the Persona games.
