Who was the first flapper?

Feminist icon Gloria Steinem and her lover and fellow feminist Susan Faludi have been on a long, strange, and often contradictory journey to the pinnacle, as this video shows.

First they were fumblers, then they were fumblers again, then they were fumblers yet again, and then they became feminists.

In recent years Steinem has been one of the most successful women’s leaders in America, and in 2008 she became the first woman to serve on the board of the United Nations Women Development Fund.

The video is a collection of all the different flappers who have come before Steinem, including Dorothy Day, Alice Walker, and Zora Neale Hurston.

So will women ever be able to achieve their “feminism” as he had envisioned, or will we all still need to keep our fumblers glued to our knees? Or are they still necessary, just as male flappers were during the time?

If any woman has an easier path forward than Steinem, let her know.

The video is called, “Fumblers vs. Feminists & Their History at United Nations.”

How to make the perfect cake can be difficult. To create just right texture, a perfect layer can be a tricky job…but it can be done! I am a huge fan of simple cakes and always have found it so rewarding to create the perfect slice every time!

This recipe is perfect for cakes that are to be eaten in one bite. Not just any cake though, but one that’s been deliciously moist and has that wonderfully fluffy texture. I was super excited to share this one with you and decided right away to do my best to recreate it at home.

The cake recipe was a hit in the kitchen and I thought you would love this one too! The moistness of this cake really gives you a warm feeling when you bite into one, especially when you layer it with something sweet. You can really make a rich and chocolatey decadent treat if you want or just something that is sweet- enough so you don’t have to think about making it every day. There are not many words to describe this cake. I hope you try it one day soon and if not, then we’ll enjoy this cake with a cup of tea in the morning 🙂

In the morning, go easy on the butter! It’s really delicious, really
