I’m sure it sounds like a lot of work, but it isn’t
As far as we’re concerned, we’re not only pole dancers — we’re also fat people dancing pole dancing. For example, I’ve had the opportunity to teach all four divisions of pole dancing, at least one division per year — some of the top female coaches in the world, as well as one woman coach from the US pole dancing community. This year, I helped the National Anthem pole dance team win the world championship, and we’re headed to the International Pole Music Championships this year. If you want advice for fat women trying to lose weight pole dancing and the most popular way to start is by eating and exercising the right way is by keeping a healthy weight. But if you’re an athlete, you need to understand that if you lose a certain amount of weight, you’re still putting on muscle and will need to put on a few pounds, too. If you can keep weight off, if your body can keep its core fat level the same, then your body will not need to put on as many pounds every week as it loses fat. Are you able to practice in front of an audience? Do you have a team training schedule? Are there dancers on tour who can help you? Have you had to move from country to country to be able to be on stage in a major competition? If you have a team schedule, do you keep it up throughout the year? Do you try to find a dancer to train with in the area you’re in or are your team split up for different shows? If you’re not able to spend a bunch of time training with
