How do you prepare for pole dancing? – Best Online Pole Dance Lessons

I actually spend time with friends and family before I go. I do a lot of research through Facebook and Twitter and I actually have a great network of personal coaches as well. When I go, I just get down and do yoga for an hour or more. There’s a whole range of different approaches. Yoga has been my spiritual practice for a long time. I’m really interested in the power of movement, the breath.

The last year or so has been really a really beautiful one, which is why I love it so much but also why I hate working. Every day I’m really excited to be up there dancing. Sometimes my feet just don’t want to go. It’s one of those things where I think it’s so exciting but I actually hate getting up there. I wish to do pole at least 12 hours a day, but actually it’s impossible. But I love it and I love the journey and that’s the fun part. You’re dancing and you’re getting this sense of connection with people, with the audience and just so much energy. It’s fantastic.

Have you heard the rumours of the Olympic Games opening pole dancing in London?

I don’t know. I mean I’ve heard it, but I honestly have no idea. Pole dancing is one of those things where you get so attached to having that experience and then the next thing you know you’re thinking ‘ok, are we allowed to have a lap’ or whatever. I’ve been a bit spoiled by it. If I go I want to do something crazy, I want to be crazy that day. I just want to be there and give this audience a real high. I’ll have my own lap, I’ll be an idiot.

What does it feel like to be the winner during the event?

I hope that I win my first gold medal, but I really hope that my teammates won’t win. Obviously that’s what you’re hoping to do, but I just hope to win as one of my team mates. That’s always hard. In fact, the last event I really felt the pressure and I was scared that I might be the person who couldn’t do a lap or a quarter. And it was so hard to have that, so I had a little meltdown from that. I felt really bad thinking about what someone else would think.

How much is there to talk about when it comes to Olympic gymnasts? How much do your routines matter and how much would you change?
